CHRIST'S HANDS ACROSS THE INTERNET Where christians come to share, pray and study. THE FLOOD Author Unknown Unexpected torrential downpours forced a man to seek refuge on his roof as the flood waters rose. He prayed to God, "Save me! Moments after he prayed someone came to bank above the house and threw the man a rope. The man looking at the raging torrents of water said, "No, I know God will save me!" and kept praying. Not too long after, two men in a boat came by and told him to get in the boat but he refused again. He was terrified that floating debris would capsize the boat. He replied, "No, God will save me." and the men couldn't convince him to get in the boat. Now the water was very high and rising quickly. Amazingly, a helicopter appeared and hovering over the roof top, they lowered a ladder to the man but the man refused to let go of the attennae he was clinging to and suddenly the water and debris rose above the house and the man was pulled free and drowned. When the man stood before God, he demanded, "God! Why didn't you save me?" to which God replied, "I sent a man with a rope, two men in a boat and a helicopter! What did you expect?" Jeremiah 29: (11) “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” 1 Corinthians 10: (13) No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
